N° II · Sérénité
Lavandula angustifolia
Kuyucak · Uludağ · the evening ritual
Sérénité is the evening line. Lavender from Kuyucak — the lavender region in the southwest — meets the Diwan vocabulary for stillness: Huzur (peace), Sükûnet (quiet).
The plant is well-known. The discipline is what changes here: Sérénité refuses the Provence aesthetic, the lavender-field cliché. It returns the plant to its Anatolian context — the slopes of the Uludağ pre-mountains, the discipline of an evening practice that the Ottoman court already understood.
Four pieces will hold the line at launch.
The plant that does not wake you.
