N° III · Sage Blanc
Salvia officinalis
Hattuša · Hittite · the clarifying plant
Sage Blanc carries the Hittite layer. The Hittites, who ruled central Anatolia from Hattuša in the second millennium BCE, named Kamrusepa the goddess of plant healing, and they wrote sage into their cuneiform tablets.
The plant has not left Anatolia since. Salvia officinalis — the common sage of the region — clarifies, cools, settles. The line takes its character from the modernity of the Hittite-Mediterranean register: clear, precise, unornamented.
Four pieces at launch.
Older than every capital.
