Calendula officinalis

Aurina — from the Old Turkic altın (gold) — is the line that bridges the deepest heritage layers. Calendula officinalis appears in Hittite plant tablets and continues, today, to bloom in the Black Sea hinterland.

The colour gives the line its name. The healing tradition gives it its purpose. Calendula is the plant of repair, of return after exertion, of the body asking gently to be calmed.
